Commuting
Micron encourages employees to travel to and from work using alternative forms of transportation. Currently, Micron offers the Commuter Choice program that allows those who utilize public transportation in participating states and who commute via vanpools to take advantage of a pre-tax deduction to be used toward the employee’s fare.
In the Boise area, Micron also works with the Ada County Highway District's RideMatch program to assist employees in finding other commuters who are interested in sharing the ride to work. Employees can fill out an on-line form which is then used to match that employee with other potential employees interested in carpooling to work.
